• Location: The Village Green in Upper Poppleton, with exhibits housed in All Saints Hall and the new Methodist Hall 

📋 Timetable Sneak-Peek

• Friday 15th Aug:

  • 7:00 pm–8:00 pm – Staging of exhibits in hall space 

    
    

• Saturday 16th Aug:

  • 9:00 am–10:30 am – Final staging inside the halls

  • 10:30 am–12:30 pm – Judging in full swing (halls are closed to the public)

  • 10:00 am – Coffee on the Green opens in the old Methodist Hall 

  • Exhibition viewing: 12:30 pm–4:30 pm – Floral art, baking, fruit & veg, crafts all on display in the halls

  • Ebor Brass Band: 12:30 pm–4:00 pm – live music on the green

  • Dog Show: From 1:00 pm – tails wagging, crowds cheering

  • Carrot & Spud weigh-in: From ~1:00 pm – who grew the best veg?

  • Enchanting singing & dancing by the Maypole: Around 2:30 pm – charming local entertainment

  • Prize awarding & raffle: 4:00 pm in the Methodist Hall – celebrate the winners and support the village raffle.

🏛️ A Bit of History

• The show roots trace back to the Garden Guild Show (1959–2015)

• In 2015, the current Poppleton Village Show was launched by Mike Walker and friends, expanding the categories and community spirit to include crafts, bands, vintage vehicles and dog competitions
