After the closure of the Garden Guild, a few people, led by Mike Walker, thought it would be a good idea to create the Poppleton Village Show which as well as fruit, flowers and vegetables now includes handicrafts, floral art and baking show categories on display in the All Saints and the new Methodist halls. On the Green now there are also a variety of stalls, a vintage car display, a brass band and a fun dog show.
